Selene has a passion for advocacy and increasing institutional access for marginalized communities. She is entering her 6th year in the nonprofit world, and has dedicated her career on child advocacy, and has previously focused on barriers to education. While earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Law and Society at the University of Denver, Selene traveled internationally as a member of the debate team, competing in both Spanish and English. In the Denver community, Selene has worked on cultivating relationships with donors, business owners, and volunteers, while gaining skills in events planning and management at organizations like the Denver Urban Debate League and Generation Teach. When she is not out fundraising or coordinating events, Selene enjoys playing games with her family and friends, traveling, and baking desserts!
Although she has officially ended her career as a debater, Selene continues to grow her communication skills as the Annual Giving & Events Manager at Denver CASA. She is looking forward to expanding the impact of Denver CASA and the support from our community partners.
