Karen Silverman

Executive Director

Karen Silverman has over 20 years of experience working in non-profit organizations
with a background in children’s issue including child welfare, early childhood education,
teen prevention and mentoring programs. From 2009 to 2014 she was the Executive
Director of Smart Girl. Most recently, she was the Director of External Affairs at
JEWISHcolorado. She is passionate about helping children get an equal start in life no
matter their circumstances. Karen volunteers at the South High School Food Bank and
sits on the advisory board of a new project focused on educating adults about
adolescent development. When not working, Karen enjoys hiking, reading and exploring
new restaurants in Denver. Karen earned her BA from the University of Colorado in International Affairs and her JD
from the George Washington University School of Law.
