By The Numbers

Denver CASA is a small organization with a big impact. The CASA Volunteer model allows us to impact the lives of hundreds of Denver’s children and youth every year. The need for advocacy in Denver continues to grow, with over 1,100 children entering the child welfare system annually, and we continue to strive to provide a CASA Volunteer for every child who needs one.

The CASA Model

The CASA Model is an effective, relationship driven model with proven success in reducing re-entry across the country. Our best-interest advocacy is driven by the guiding principle that children grow and develop best with their family of origin, if that can be safely achieved.

Children with a CASA Volunteer are less likely to re-enter the foster care system and more likely to be permanently placed in a stable home. Children with a CASA also experience fewer placements than the average child in the foster system.
